Executive Director

Patti Hamilton has served as the Executive Director of the West Virginia Association of Counties since October, 1997.  Patti is a cum laude graduate of WVU and earned a master's degree in Managment/Public Administration from the West Virginia Graduate College.  Raised in Oak Hill, Fayette County, West Virginia, Patti resides in Charleston and has three sons.

Kathy A. Hughes Yates
Administrative Assistant

Kathy Yates has been with the Association of Counties since July, 2000.  She brought with her many years of experience as a state employee, including nine years as a computer operator with the Department of Administration and ten years as a data analyst for the state Tax Department.  Born in Richwood, Nicholas County, and raised in Charleston, Kathy resides in Belle, and has twin step-daughters Morgan and Meghan and one son, Klay.

Mary Rader
Secretary

Mary Rader has worked for the Association of Counties since 1993.  She is retired from the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources with 29 years of service.  Raised in Virginia, Mary moved to West Virginia and attended high school here.  She has 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren

Jack C. McClung
Legal Counsel

Jack McClung has served as Legal Counsel for the Association of Counties since December, 1989.  His work experience includes in excess of 25 years of service with the State of West Virginia, including 23 years in the office of the Attorney General.  He is a native of Summersville, Nicholas County, and presently resides in Charleston.
